Established in 2001 and now organized by committees in every major city in New Zealand under the Audio Foundation. Altmusic is an ongoing series of audio events, regularly bringing a vital injection of contemporary and experimental music from around the world to New Zealand. CATA meetings and workshops are held at a variety of education, industry and community venues and we are grateful for their ongoing support. Membership of relevant associations is an important form of professional development for staff and is encouraged in the professional standards for teachers. CATA provides workshops, events and informal support outside school hours which is useful to teachers in both large and small departments.
